This space is all about seeking
the moments that cause
'excited chills' and creating a life
that's simple, authentic and beautiful.
I’m wrapping up my month of nevers today. I’m going to keep this brief since I’m in the middle of the Find Your Simple three-day challenge. If you’d like to join us… you can catch up right here.
If I’ve learned one thing about the things we say we’ll never do… it’s that there will certainly be more of them as we continue living and learning. And I'm beginning to believe that's a really good thing.
For now, here’s my last ‘disregarded never’ confession.
My father sold Amway for a short time when I was a kid. And I've encountered some hard-sell, uncomfortable pressure from folks selling Arbonne and NuSkin over the years.
What I took from my very limited experience with pyramid or Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) companies?
No, thanks. Not for me.
I’ll never be part of a Multi-Level Marketing company.
Well, once again… I’m eating my words. A few months ago, I began to drink the Kool-Aid from a well-known MLM company. Never say never;-)
Last November, I decided to take the leap and order a starter kit from doTerra essential oils.
There were many reasons for this, but mainly I was curious about the health benefits of high quality essential oils.
My only experience with essential oils was through diffusing inexpensive versions (purchased from Amazon and local retailers) in my home for a while...and wanted to explore the next level of oils use.
I also longed for a signature scent. I’ve been perfume-adverse for years. Traditional fragrances give me a headache or just don’t feel authentic for me. I always dreamed of loving a scent enough to wear it daily.
Enter essential oils!
Oh, what fun it is to blend up a truly signature scent depending on my emotional and physical needs for the day. Honestly, this part has been way more of a benefit than I’d ever imagined!
I’m eager to learn all I can about the oils and their impressive, almost magical powers! I'm soaking up all the goodness of this new 'hobby'... while also being curious about the business/MLM side of the doTerra brand.
I’m signed up as a Wellness Advocate, so I do sell doTerra products:-)
I vow to never (honestly, this never is non-negotiable) give anyone the hard sell. But please know that if you’re ever interested in learning more about the oils or the company, just ask. If I don’t yet know the answer… I know some amazing women who do!
I'd love to know what 'never' you're tossing aside in the name of trying something new!
Have an amazing weekend!
I'll be sharing some exciting news next week...
P.S. While writing this post, I realized that I actually use (and love) another MLM product... LipSense lipstick. I'm a complete newbie with only two colors, but it's a start! If you'd like to give this incredible lip color a try... just let me know, I'll put you in touch with the most amazing gal:-)
