Hotel Cinco Sentidos in Zihuatanejo, Mexico is a incredible. I surprised my husband for his 40th birthday with a trip to this intimate, tropical hideaway. The name translates to 'five senses'...and this property certainly provides pleasure for all of them.
With just 5 rooms, it is easy to feel like you are in a secluded, staffed villa. During our week-long stay, we only saw other guests at breakfast...which is served poolside. It is prepared at an outdoor kitchen by the owner. Delicious!
Just writing this makes me want to return to Hotel Cinco Sentidos. This hotel is truly amazing!
There are five suites. One is the Grand Suite which occupies the top floor. This room has an open air living area.
There are four Junior Suites. We stayed in one of these rooms. They are spacious and air conditioned. Each room has a private plunge pool and a balcony.
Breakfast and bottled water is included. All rooms have mini refrigerators stocked with complimentary beer, soft drinks and snacks. I wanted a birthday cake...the owner's wife arranged for the cake and delivered it to our room. Can you tell? I love this hotel!
And, it's not crazy expensive. Grand Suite prices range from $295-$315 per night for two people depending on the season. There is a $30 up-charge for the Christmas week. Junior Suites range from $195-$225.
The wonderful housekeeping staff kept our room looking lovely with daily floral designs. Each day was more beautiful than the last. What a creative, romantic addition to an already fabulous hotel.
So fun to see each day's artwork when we returned to our room.
Cinco Sentidos is a very special place.
Thanks for reading. More tomorrow...
