By repeat, I mean the concept of wearing the same article of clothing over and over and over again.
This is tough for most American women. In the land of disposable fashion, we've adopted the ridiculous idea that we can never be seen wearing the same outfit twice. For real? Crazy!
We are not celebrities walking the Red Carpet who can’t wear the same gown twice… and they aren’t even buying the gowns, just borrowing them!
We are real women who need to create functional wardrobes that supports us in our everyday lives.
The idea is to only add to your wardrobe pieces that you truly love. If you follow that plan, then of course you’ll want to wear your clothes…a lot! After all, you bought them because you love them.
Do you think people will judge you if you wear the same clothing repeatedly? If it’s the same old, ratty sweatshirt and ill-fitting jeans, then maybe they will.
But, if you’ve created a wardrobe filled only with pieces that are authentically you…and you've learned know how to put together a dynamite outfit…
Here’s what the world actually sees…
1. Your confidence- By being able to ‘repeat wear’ the same
items many times in many ways, you leave people dazzled and wondering,
‘How does she do it?’
2. That you have cultivated your look and are proud of the pieces you have in your wardrobe. You aren’t afraid to wear your clothing more than once a week. I’m always amazed at how often I hear from clients that they could never wear something more than once a week. This is not a rule! I promise. A wardrobe should contain lots of core items that can be worn in a multitude of ways!
3. A woman who must have once lived in a chic European city (are there any un-chic European cities?) You’ll appear to have mastered the art of creating a minimalistic wardrobe...with your best-loved items in heavy rotation. Well done! This is the goal.
Please don’t think you can’t repeat part or all of an outfit. You can…and
you should. Wear your clothes. Often. No apologies necessary.

Tell me about your repeats! What piece do you have in your wardrobe
that is currently on repeat? Do you change the look each time you wear it or keep it the same? I'd love to know...
